Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the category of space within the framework of the Russian linguistic picture of the world. The work examines the concepts related to spatial relationships, which are reflected in the Russian language. In addition, the article analyzes the
features of using the spatial concept in the Russian language. It also discusses the cultural aspects associated with the study of the category of space in the Russian linguistic picture of the world. The authors emphasize that the category of space has a special meaning in the Russian
language. The purpose of this paper is to consider the main features of the representation of the category of space in the Russian linguistic picture of the world. The novelty of this article lies in its special approach to the analysis of the depiction of space in the Russian language and the connection of the spatial category with culture and thinking. The Russian language, like anyother language, reflects national identity and mentality. Studying the category of space can help to better understand the peculiarities of the perception of the world by Russian speakers.
The article discusses the theoretical and practical aspects of studying the category of space within the framework of linguistics. In conclusion, the authors note that the study of the category of space in the Russian linguistic picture of the world is important for further linguistic re-
search. The results of this scientific work may be useful for linguists studying the Russian language and its features in the representation of space; for students and scholars majoring in Russian as a foreign language; for anthropologists, cultural scientists and other specialists who
are appealed to the category of space in language and its influence on culture and thinking. Understanding the peculiarities of representing space in Russian will help interpreters to more accurately convey the meaning and nuances of the text. In addition, this information can be use-
